亚美利加 ₍₁₎（美国国歌 独秀译）

                                    其  一

                           爱吾土兮自由乡，

                           祖宗之所埋骨，

                           先民之所夸张。

                           颂声作兮邦家光 ₍₂₎ ，

                           群山之隈相低昂 ₍₃₎ ，

                           自由之歌声抑扬。




       1、【亚美利加】全称美利坚合众国（The United States of America），简称亚美利加（USA）。

       2、【颂声】歌颂赞美之声。【邦】泛指国家。

       3、【隈】山水弯曲的地方。【低昂】高低起伏。

                           吁嗟汝兮吾宗国 ₍₁₎ ，

                           自由名族之所宅，

                           汝之名兮余所怿。

                           清浅兮川流，

                           嵯峨兮岩石 ₍₂₎ 。

                           森林兮莽苍，

                           丘陵兮耸立。

                           余悦汝兮心震摇。

                           欢乐极兮登天国。




       1、【宗国】古代称同姓的诸侯国家。《孟子·滕文公上》：“吾宗国鲁先君莫之行。”犹言祖国。

       2、【嵯峨】山高峻。






                                    其 三

                          箫管作兮交远风 ₍₁₎ ，

                          飞声振响群林中。

                          自由之歌乐共雍，

                          众口相和声融融 ₍₂₎ 。

                          含生负气皆从同，

                          巉岩破寂声宏通 ₍₃₎ ₍₄₎ 。




       1、【箫管】乐器。

       2、【融融】和乐，和暖，光润。

       3、【巉岩】高峻的山石，险峻的山岩。

       4、【宏通】犹宏达，意谓才识宏大通博，亦指事业的宏伟。

                  




                                    其 四

                          尊吾神兮自吾祖，

                          自由创造汝之矩 ₍₁₎ 。

                          吾曹讴歌实唯汝 ₍₂₎ ，

                          万岁千秋德惠溥 ₍₃₎ 。

                          自由灵光耀吾土。

                          仗汝力兮佑吾侣，

                          伟大之神吾共主。




      １、【矩】法度、法则。

       2、【曹】辈分，引申为群、众，表示人的多数。如我曹，尔曹。

       3、【溥】广大。《诗经·大雅·公刘》：“瞻彼溥原。”又通普，普遍。《诗经·小雅·北山》：“溥天之下，莫非王土。”

     【原注】

       Samuel F. Smith 美国诗人也。生于1808年，卒于1895年。tis of thee=it is of thee that I sing. Sweet land与My conntry同格。下文二land 亦然。The pilgrims.此指美国之始祖清教徒（Ｐuritans）。以争宗教自由之故。于1620年Mayflower船。由英国移住美国Massachnsetts.今日之美国人。大半为此Pilgrimfathers之子孙。From-ring=Let freedom ’s song ring from every mountain side the noble free=the noble free people.rills=small streams.tompled hill如寺院耸立空际之山丘。My heart-above=My heart overflows with rapture like that which comes from thinking of things above.And ring-song=And let sweet freedom’s song ring from all the trees.mortal tengues awaks诸人相和而歌之义。That breathe有呼吸者之义。Partake参与之义。Ａnthor of liberty=自由之创造者即God也。圣书中多称God为 King者。






     【本事】以上美国国歌系陈独秀从英文翻译过来，与译诗《赞歌》同刊于1915年10月《青年杂志》第一卷第二号。为集思广益,并据1981年人民音乐出版社《美国歌曲选》所载《美丽的亚美利加》，附录以备考。
